Study: Higher health risks for LGB population

According to a study compiled by Oregon public health officials, lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) Americans are susceptible to a host of sexual and mental health issues at significantly higher rates than heterosexuals.

In addition to facing higher levels of food insecurity and poverty, the study finds that LGB adults are less likely to have access to health insurance and more likely to face sexual and emotional abuse than their fellow heterosexuals.
