A state Senator from New Jersey refused to accept an award from the Boy Scouts of America in protest of their discriminatory policies against homosexuals.
Sen. Raymond Lesniak was due to be given an honorary award from the Patriots Path Council, a local branch of the Boy Scouts of America at an award banquet. Earlier this year, the Boy Scouts of America reaffirmed their stance banning homosexuals from the organization.
