Reykjavik Mayor Jon Gnarr chose Saturday’s Pride events in the area to ride through the streets of the Icelandic capital in a bright pink dress to protest the way Russian punk outfit Pussy Riot has been treated at the hands of Russian authorities.

A thirteen second clip of Gnarr shows the mayor in Pussy Riot-like balaclava and dress aboard a vehicle with a sign saying “Free Pussy Riot” on the side as the band’s song “Clear the Cobblestones” blasts out into the streets.
