Producer Elaina Martin has been on a real naked streak for the past couple of years, booking acts like Bif Naked in 2011 and Steven Page from the Barenaked Ladies in 2012. Elaina’s 2011 tagline for her Ottawa festival, Westfest, was boldly named, “Westfest Gets Naked.”
As producer of such a major festival in Ottawa, Canada, she has been referred to as a national treasure and outstanding community builder. Now, here’s one hot butch who wears her heart on the outside. I guess you could say that Elaina gets naked every day. Like her voice, her strong, sweet spirit is full of confidence.
Over a decade ago, Elaina was a prolific entertainer, touring North America. She shared the stage with other musicians like Indigo Girls, Jann Arden, Tegan and Sara, and Sarah Harmer. She still has some pretty hard core fans who continue to hold out for the hope that she will one day re-appear on stage, rocking out their favorite songs.
Elaina seems to be quite happy stepping out of the spotlight to make room for the many entertainers she wants to see in it. Whatever she does, she does well and always delivers excellence.
I took these photos of Elaina at Westfest 2011 and 2012. Her infectious smile is always a joy to photograph.
