BY Amway, the Michigan-based direct selling company, has been linked to an anti-gay marriage group, and now a prominent activist for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community is calling for a boycott.
The Douglas and Maria DeVos Foundation, a foundation that “seeks to share the importance of their Christian faith,” is supported financially by Amway president Doug DeVos. The company donated $500,000 to the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) in 2009, according to ABC News.
