BY As the country turned its attention to the two historic marriage equality cases before the Supreme Court, Prop 8 on March 26 and the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) on March 27, a handful of celebrities voiced their support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community this week.
Beyonce took to Instagram to announce her solidarity with those hoping to win legal gay marriage in the United States. Country singer Willie Nelson and rapper Snoop Lion (formally Snoop Dogg) both gave interviews outlining their support of marriage equality. And rapper A$AP Rocky discussed his views on LGBT issues in the hip hop community.
