Russian court summons Madonna

Pop megastar Madonna has been summoned to appear before a Russian court to face charges brought by anti-gay campaigners that she knowingly flouted St. Petersburg’s ban on gay propaganda and that, in so doing, injured and offended them.

According to reports, anti-gay campaigners in Russia have managed to obtain Madonna’s New York address and have issued her a summons to face charges that she, during an August concert in St. Petersburg, knowingly flouted the region’s ban on the promotion of homosexuality to minors. They are seeking as much as $10.5 million in damages.
