During adolescence, penguins choose their mate for life. Suki and Chupchikoni, two black-footed penguins at the Ramat Gan Safari park in Israel, picked each other.
“There are a few young available males in the exhibit,” head of the Safari Avian Department, Tamuz Setti said. “We are certain that they made a choice to be together.”
Suki and Chupchikoni have already set up their house together, collected nesting materials, and are ready to be each others’ life mates.
