American Apparel, known as a gay friendly company, has hired a transgender model to be the face of a new national Pride campaign. Isis King, formerly a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model,” will be seen sporting looks both online and in print for AA’s “Gay is O.K.” campaign.
Joining her in the campaign are four current and former GLAAD staff members, among others. Fifteen percent of all proceeds from the shirts benefit GLAAD’s work to “share stories that build support for equality.”
