2014 is shaping up to be the best year ever for comedian Fortune Feimster. It appears the stars are aligning for the “Last Comic Standing” semi-finalist and “Chelsea Lately” writer and roundtable regular.

Earlier this year, Comedy Central named Feimster as one of the 15 comedians selected for a 30-minute special on the network in 2014, a career milestone for any comedian. And this fall Feimster is set to star in Fox’s “Cabot College,” a sitcom from executive producer Tina Fey. Feimster has been cast as Becca, a lesbian sophomore majoring in sports and parties at an all-women’s college that has just begun admitting male students.

Meanwhile, Feimster continues to tour as a stand-up comedian, bringing her down-home country charm and southern-inspired hilarity to comedy stages across the country.

“I would say my career is in a very good place,” said Feimster in a recent interview with SFGate. “I’m in a place of a lot of hope for what’s next. I see something great, but I’m not quite there.”

Well, Fortune, your dreams have been realized as Lesbian.com has tapped you for your very own Fast 5 interview. Congratulations!

1. What celebrity would render you totally star struck if you were to meet him/her?

I would be incredibly star struck if I met Beyonce. I love her so freakin’ much. She can do no wrong in my book.

2. Do you have a hidden talent? Do tell!

I am secretly really good at country line dancing and two-stepping. If you see me in a gay country western bar, I’m probably twirling somebody around the dance floor.

3. Lady Gaga or Madonna?

Madonna (Editor’s Note: We don’t know whether or not Fortune’s answer would have changed, but we’ll note that she completed her Fast 5 before Madonna’s “gay” kale controversy.)

4. What would be your best piece of relationship advice?

I think it’s important to find someone who doesn’t fight mean. It’s inevitable that you are going to have a few bumps in the road every now and then so you never want to feel like the person you’re with is going to handle it in a way that is purposefully hurtful.

5. What’s the last movie you went to the theater to see?

I went to see “Rio 2” with my friend and her kid. I’m pretty gangsta like that.

You can catch Fortune on stage May 9-10 at the Stress Factory in Brunswick, New Jersey; May 16-17 at The Improv in Tempe, Arizona; and on a mid-west run through Indiana, Michigan and Ohio on June 19, 20 and 21, respectively.

Keep up with Fortune at her website and be sure to follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
