The last time we toured with The Killers I had whooping cough. It was 2004 and we had just released So Jealous. As we traveled around America (on our first tour bus) the excitement was palpable amongst our band, our new fans and the audience there to see The Killers. Hot Fuss had just been released, they were on the edge of becoming the biggest band in America, and Sara and I were along for the ride. Every day we thanked our lucky stars. Even a bottle of cough syrup and countless coughing fits a day couldn’t dull the excitement I felt on that tour.
I remember the band as being lovely people who treated us with the utmost respect and took a chance on Sara and I when we were literally an unknown act to the majority of humans on Earth. It felt truly providential that they had asked us to tour with them at that exact time in history. The tour helped us get Walking With A Ghost on radio, it helped us build an audience of our own and it inspired us to dream bigger for our own band, career and music going forward.
We can’t tell you how happy, excited, nervous and thrilled we are to have been asked to tour with them again! We don’t get to tour in the UK much so it makes it extra exciting for us to be able to do this tour! Plus we LOVE the new single Runaways! So, win-win!
