SEVEN DOCUMENTARIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR A NEW DEFINITION OF ‘IDENTITY’ GENDER.
The Gender Fest is the first documentary film festival in Italy to describe the changing forms of gender identity. Expanding the boundaries of transsexualism and homosexuality, the festival wants to build a more open and malleable in our bodies and our social roles, questioning the logic of the binary male / female.
Now in its third edition, the GDFF open to other forms of art and communication: the promotional video is a work in generative graphic designer Giuseppe Randazzo on the construction and the transmutation of sexual, mental and physical of the subject, by comparing and sometimes colliding with the external reality.
On opening night, Julien Touati, director of the film 2011 winner Kathakali , is previewing its Italian spectacle wherever my head rests , a solo dance in which East and West, art and drama, the male body and female body come together freely.
At the beginning of the second evening, filmmaker Jonathan Skurnik will hold a seminar on Adolescents and gender identity to present a broad picture of a controversial issue and still little known, especially in Italy.
