Sarah Stouffer is the young star of 2010’s “Bloomington” a coming-of-age drama from writer-director Fernanda Cardoso. Stouffer stars as Jackie, a former child star attempting to adapt to everyday life as a college student in the city which gives the film its name.
While traversing the lecture halls and adjusting to dorm life in an atmosphere where her fellow students fawn over her, Jackie falls for Catherine, an intense professor with a reputation for engaging in affairs with her students, portrayed by Allison McAtee.
Despite her straight orientation Stouffer was nonplused portraying a lesbian character and found kissing her co-star McAtee to be completely natural.
Stouffer lists her favorite LGBT film as “The Kids are All Right.”
