With its fascinating history, compelling Celtic culture and beautiful scenery, Wales offers some of the best walking in the U.K. Spend 5 days exploring areas of outstanding beauty in South and West Wales with Women’s Holidays.

We will walk part of Offa’s Dyke WalesScenery2(constructed in 785AD) and visit the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey. The countryside around the Wye Valley is much loved for its sheltered lanes and woodland walks that open into wonderful views of the River Wye. We then head West to Pembrokeshire, where we will be based in Goodwick. We will walk part of the Pembrokeshire coastal path, visiting St Davids cathedral and Strumble Head.

We then, venture up into the wild and mysterious Preseli hills to get a glimpse of pre-history, with its standing stones, neolithic burial chambers and celtic crosses. The blue stones at Stonehenge originated here.
