It’s probably not something you think about when walking up and down the cereal aisle, staring at a full wall of options. But now, according to anti-gay National Organization for Marriage (NOM) president Brian Brown, “rather than seeing the ‘G’ trademark as a symbol of General Mills, consumers across the world will equate that symbol with gay marriage.”
Minnesota based Betty Crocker brand, owned by General Mills, announced its support of same-sex marriage in the state. In true NOM fashion, an official boycott of all General Mills products followed: from Cheerios to Lucky Charms, Pillsbury and Yoplait.
