The government shutdown is lingering on, and Republicans are refusing to budge. For most of the Tea Party members of the House, it’s still defund Obamacare or bust.
Although some members of the GOP are trying to be reasonable, admitting that the political theater is hurting real people and maybe their party needs to consider a compromise, it’s clear that the most extreme faction of the GOP is still running the show…and hogging the camera.
